At night, on weekends, and on American and Spanish holidays, the Embassy is
closed and no visas or passports can be issued except in rare, emergency
situations. If you have a true emergency outside normal business hours, call
the embassy at 91587-2200 from anywhere in Spain, or (34) 91587-2200 from
outside Spain, and ask to speak to the duty officer.
