Lost or Stolen Permanent Resident Card (Green card)
If your green card has been lost or stolen, you will need a foil to travel back to the United States. The foil is valid for one month and one single entry. Once you arrive in the United States, please contact the US Citizenship and Immigration service website for more information USCIS - Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 10:30
Bring the following:
- Form I-90.
- Valid passport.
- Police report (denuncia).
- Three identical recent color photos (5 X 5 cm).
- Proof of US residency status, if available.
- Evidence of last departure from the United States (for example airline ticket).
The consular officer can only considerer issuing a foil upon verification of your status by the USCIS. It may take from one to several days.
